What to do in an Emergency/Out of hours


If you need urgent medical advice during surgery hours, please phone the surgery on 023 9238 1117. Please be prepared to give some information to the receptionist.


Out of Hours


If you need to see a doctor urgently when the surgery is closed please telephone 111.  Calls to the 111 service are free from landlines and mobile phones.






NHS 111 is a new service which has been introduced to make it easier for people to access local NHS health care services when they need medical help fast, but it is not a life-threatening situation.  NHS 111 is available 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.  Calls are free from landlines and mobile phones.



Walk-In Centre


The nearest NHS Walk-in Centre is located at: St Mary's Hospital Treatment Centre, Milton Road, Portmsouth PO3 6DW.  tel 0333 200 1822. NHS Walk-in Centres are doctor led and provide advice and treatment for a range of minor illnesses and injuries.


NHS Treatment Centre


The nearest NHS Treatment Centre is located at: St Mary's NHS Treatment Centre, Milton Road, Portsmouth, PO3 6DW, tel. 0333 200 1822 and are open Monday to Friday 7.30 am to 10 pm, Weekends and Bank Holidays from 8 am to 10 pm. NHS Treatment Centre's provide advice and treatment for a range of minor illnesses and injuries and is a doctor/nurse led service..


Accident and Emergency


Whatever the day or time, if you or someone else experiences severe chest pain, loss of blood or suspected broken bones, go to your nearest Accident and Emergency Department or call 999 for assistance. The nearest A&E Department is located at: Queen Alexandra Hospital, Southwick Hill Road, Cosham, Portsmouth, PO6 3LY, tel. 023 9228 6000.
