Please note that during the pandemic all appointments are telephone consultation appointments in the first instance.
If you book online through systmone there is a message explaining that the GP could call at any time during the morning or afternoon session even though you have booked into an appointment time slot you are added to a list to be contacted.
However, if you book through the NHS app you do not get the same message – this is a known problem for which there is currently no fix.
In conclusion, however you book an appointment, it is for a telephone consultation in the first instance and you will be contacted by the GP at any time during the session you have booked into.
