Delay for patients transferring to The Drayton Surgery

Posted on:

We are sorry to inform you that the planned transfer of patients from North Harbour Medical Group to The Drayton Surgery on the evening of Monday 27 February has not been able to happen due to a technical error with the clinical IT system. The issue meant patient notes were not able to be sent to The Drayton Surgery so the transfer could not go ahead.

This issue has only affected patients moving to The Drayton Surgery and we do not anticipate any disruption for upcoming transfers to other practices.

We are working with colleagues across the NHS and the IT system supplier to resolve the issue as quickly as possible, with the transfer now scheduled to take place on the evening of Tuesday 28 February.

This means that North Harbour patients who are being transferred to The Drayton Surgery will now be able to access their new GP practice on Wednesday 1 March. We will give further updates as they are available.

We ask you not to contact The Drayton Surgery or our practice during the transfer period about the transfer. If you require urgent medical help today, please contact us and we will try our best to help.

Alternatively, you can contact NHS 111 by visiting www.111.nhs.uk or by calling 111. If you have an emergency or life-threatening medical enquiry, call 999 or attend the emergency department. We are sorry for any inconvenience caused.
